Lake Louise, Alberta

Lake Louise, Alberta
Lake Louise is a mountain that snowboarders fall in love with after just one run. In addition, it is in the Canadian Rockies, yet is only about a 2 ½ hour drive from the YYC airport. We will highlight some of the keynote features to this mountain and we hope to see you there.

Ski Area
Boarders that come to Lake Louise all tend to have the same jaw-dropped response because of the immense size and beautiful powder. It is actually half the size of the famous Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, but that does not make it any lesser of a mountain. As you reach the 2,640-meter peak, take a look around at the immense Rocky Mountains surrounding you.

Many people compare this mountain with Whistler Blackcomb because of the similar awe striking scenic views, but people have raved that Lake Louise gets lighter and more powdery snow. This does not mean that it is better, but that it is comparable to the Olympic mountain!

Village
Lake Louise also offers a high-speed gondola ride up to the Ptarmigan and Paradise/Back Bowls. Prepare for a long day of boarding/skiing because there are about 4 mountain faces of rugged snowy wild. Furthermore, Lake Louise tends to share similarities with Whistler Blackcomb, but the village is much more quiet, particularly at nighttime, making it more suitable for families.
